Atlas Orthogonal

Atlas Orthogonal is a non-invasive treatment program that is prescribed for the treatment of Musculoskeletal, Neurological, Brain-Based, and Chronic Pain Syndromes. Treatment includes gentle, image-guided percussion adjustment to realign the Atlas at the Craniocervical Junction.

Realign the Atlas vertebra to restore normal function.

It has been proven effective as a stand-alone treatment and in conjunction with other therapies. It has minimal side effects and is FDA approved for multiple conditions. There is peer-reviewed, evidence based-based research to support its use.

The Atlas vertebra is the most important link in the human spine, supporting the weight of the human skull, facilitating movement of the neck, and protecting the spinal cord. If the Atlas vertebra becomes misaligned, it stresses the spine, creating pain in the neck, shoulders, back – and all the way to a patient’s feet. The Atlas Orthogonal treatment returns the Atlas vertebra to its neutral position, restoring normal function and blood flow to the spine.

Our doctors will take the time to know you and discuss your current health challenges. A comprehensive review of your past records, and medical imaging will help identify if you are a candidate for the Atlas Orthogonal Program, and/or a combination of our comprehensive supportive therapies.

Diagnostic Imaging

Stereotactic X-rays of the Cranio-cervical junction, along with additional films of other body regions if necessary. Depending on your case, Upright MRI studies are performed and analyzed at our facility at FONAR Headquarters in Melville, NY.

Image Analysis

Atlas Orthogonal Image Analysis is performed to determine the proper corrective prescription. Upright MRI Analysis is performed in conjunction with Board Certified Medical Radiologists. All diagnostics are discussed in depth with patients prior to the treatment program.

Our treatment is focused primarily on the correction of misalignment of the structures at the Craniocervical Junction utilizing the Atlas Orthogonal Program. Supportive therapies, and referral to other providers may be indicated.

Home Treatment Plan

Our best outcomes are achieved thru care plan compliance and “at home” activities which may include exercise, supplementation, and review of Atlas Orthogonal recommendations.
