Why headaches?
Most people suffer from headaches. They’re a common affliction, but they’re not normal.
Culture of drugs
Finding a natural solution to reduce the underlying cause of our headache is our approach, rather than prescribing a pain medication or over-the-counter pain reliever.
The hidden causes
Research shows that when the spinal bones in the neck aren’t supporting the head properly, headaches can be commonly experienced. This condition can limit a person’s ability to move the head, and can also affect the nerves, muscles, and the blood supply to the head.
Compensation causes a reaction
Many patients are surprised to learn that if the spinal bones are misaligned, it can not only cause frequent headaches, but also create pain in the lower back. Why? Because the upper spine twists to compensate for the misaligned bones in the neck, which then moves the head off center.
Frequently asked questions
No. Physical trauma, emotional stress, or chemical toxins are the three most likely causes of a headache. In some cases, a combination of factors can be the cause. We’ll try to determine the cause of your headaches during our examination.
A spinal vertebra gets out of position for three main reasons. There are physical causes that could include slips and falls, accidents, harmful repetitive motions, and improper lifting. There are emotional causes such as stress, anger, and fear. And there are chemical causes that could include alcohol, drugs, preservatives, pollution and poor diet.
The pain people experience is real and some of it could be caused by psychological sources, but we often find that an undetected subluxation is the likely culprit. Health practitioners settle for the “it’s all in your head” diagnosis when they have exhausted any other possible explanation.
Results for patients are different. Some experience immediate results, others see a slow decline in symptoms over a longer treatment period. Predicting exactly how patients will respond is impossible. But, if you’ve experienced headaches for years, any improvement is likely to take time.
If we can’t help, we have other experts who may be able to help. Correcting the cause of your particular health problem is our goal.

As physicians and patients seek alternatives to prescription drugs and surgery, more medical practitioners are referring patients to Atlas Realignment specialists.
