Ms. YB, Female, Age 31

Ms. YB was evaluated by Dr. Sandlin Lowe at the Amen Clinic 09/20/2017 and was referred to Connecticut Spine and Health Center for evaluation and treatment of Cranio-cervical Syndrome.

Current Diagnosis:

  • Personal history of traumatic brain injury
  • Post-traumatic stress disorder, acute
  • Attention and concentration deficit
  • Post-concussional syndrome
  • Adjustment disorder with mixed anxiety and depressed mood

Chief Complaints on Initial Visit 11/17/2017:

  • Constant neck pain and stiffness
  • Migraine headaches
  • Severe photophobia
  • Pain across shoulders
  • Brain fog
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Memory loss
  • Fatigue
  • Left sided weakness
  • Visual disturbances
  • Nausea

History:

The patient was involved in a motor vehicle accident where she experienced brain, head and neck trauma. The patient reported onset of her symptoms was post MVA.

Exam:

Orthopedic, neurologic, cervical range of motion and palpation examination along with Atlas Orthogonal radiographic imaging and analysis.

Diagnosis:

  • Cranio-cervical syndrome
  • Segmental and Somatic dysfunction of the cervical spine

Treatment:

Atlas Orthogonal treatment from the 17th of November, 2017.

Current status:

Patient is under ongoing wellness care.

Outcome:

Ms. YB reported:

  • Decrease in migraines
  • Absence of photophobia
  • Decrease in neck pain
  • Decrease in radiating pain
  • Improved vision
  • Improved cognition
