Ms. YB was evaluated by Dr. Sandlin Lowe at the Amen Clinic 09/20/2017 and was referred to Connecticut Spine and Health Center for evaluation and treatment of Cranio-cervical Syndrome.
Current Diagnosis:
- Personal history of traumatic brain injury
- Post-traumatic stress disorder, acute
- Attention and concentration deficit
- Post-concussional syndrome
- Adjustment disorder with mixed anxiety and depressed mood
Chief Complaints on Initial Visit 11/17/2017:
- Constant neck pain and stiffness
- Migraine headaches
- Severe photophobia
- Pain across shoulders
- Brain fog
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Memory loss
- Fatigue
- Left sided weakness
- Visual disturbances
- Nausea
History:
The patient was involved in a motor vehicle accident where she experienced brain, head and neck trauma. The patient reported onset of her symptoms was post MVA.
Exam:
Orthopedic, neurologic, cervical range of motion and palpation examination along with Atlas Orthogonal radiographic imaging and analysis.
Diagnosis:
- Cranio-cervical syndrome
- Segmental and Somatic dysfunction of the cervical spine
Treatment:
Atlas Orthogonal treatment from the 17th of November, 2017.
Current status:
Patient is under ongoing wellness care.
Outcome:
Ms. YB reported:
- Decrease in migraines
- Absence of photophobia
- Decrease in neck pain
- Decrease in radiating pain
- Improved vision
- Improved cognition
